The Interdisciplinary Chronic Disease Collaboration (ICDC) and the Canadian Kidney Knowledge Translation and Generation Network (CANN-NET) invite application for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Knowledge Translation - Health Services Research. This position will be a shared resource for both teams and has the flexibility of working from the research office in Calgary or Edmonton. The post-doctoral fellow will work closely with members of both teams to develop, execute and evaluate knowledge translation strategies for various research initiatives aiming at improving the health of Canadians with chronic disease, including kidney disease. The post-doctoral fellow will also be responsible for supporting the uptake and use of research evidence. |
Research Teams: |
The Interdisciplinary Chronic Disease Collaboration (ICDC) The ICDC is a motivated team of researchers whose overall objective is to improve the health of patients living with, or at risk of chronic disease (hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease and vascular disease). The ICDC team is a novel collaboration between health care decision-makers, scientists and educators from 14 key disciplines, with expertise in administrative data, biostatistics, clinical epidemiology, policy development, health technology assessment, health economics, knowledge transfer, pharmaco-epidemiology, survey methodology and qualitative methods. The ICDC is funded by Alberta Innovates – Health Solutions (formerly AHFMR) Interdisciplinary Team Grants Program. The Canadian Kidney Knowledge Translation and Generation Network (CANN-NET) CANN-NET is a pan-Canadian network linking kidney researchers with knowledge users and other relevant health care partners to improve the care and outcomes of patients with and at risk for Chronic Kidney Disease. |
Eligibility: |
The successful applicant will have completed their PhD within the last 3 years, have expertise in Knowledge Translation with one of the methodological areas highlighted above. Candidates should also have a competitive publication list and academic record. |
